After a seemingly endless winter I was really feeling in the mood for heat, so decided to pull out my bold brights cardstock, since the colors make me think of summer. To create the main image, I used 3 different colors of markers: Pink Passion, Tempting Turquoise and Only Orange to color in the 3 flower stamp from Big Blooms. The stems use Gable Green Ink, and the greetings (from Happy Everything and Everyday Flexible Phrases) were stamped with Basic Black. The card is made out of Pink Passion Cardstock, and the designer paper is from the Dots and Dashes collection. I used Pumpkin Pie to mat the image and created my tab using Tempting Turquoise carstock and the Round Tab Punch. The ribbons are Apple Green, Turquoise, and Tangerine Grosgrain Ribbon. I went kind of ribbon-happy with this card. I started out only putting 3 pieces along the side, each a different color, but it seemed kind of sparse-looking, and I had already punched the holes, so I kept punching and alternated the ribbon colors. I’m not not sure whether I like with all that ribbon or not, but I wasn’t about to change it 🙂 !
