I want to send a BIG thank you to Sue Hyer!  Sue, you saved me this month!  The card you see above is totally CASEd from one that Sue sent me about a month ago – the only thing I changed was the greeting. This card became my third project for my Stamper’s Club this month.  I just loved the stunning simplicity of the card, and the fact that is so PERFECTLY showcased so many of Stampin’  Up!’s accessories. With this one card, my customers were able to use one of the in colors (Wild Wasabi – clock’s ticking you know, less than 4 months and the in color’s are gone!), the designer paper (East Coast Prep), 5/8" grosgrain ribbon (Real Red), the small and large start punches and the embossing feature of the Crop-a-Dial!  I had my first club night on Monday and they absolutely loved it, their comments were that it was quick and simple to make, but beautiful.

So how did this one card save me?  Well, honestly, I feel like I’m drowning right now.   As some of you know, we’ve been house hunting since September with no luck at all, especially since we have been looking for a house that will not only fit our family of 4 kids (with one more on the way), but also my grandparents (who are 87 years old and really slowing down).  Well, finally over the weekend we bought our house!  Although we are very excited about it, we are now faced with the daunting task of getting our house ready to put on the market by May 1st.  We need to de-clutter the whole house, strip wall-paper and paint the whole thing – all in 1 1/2 weeks.  To top it all off, my 19 month old has a bad ear infection, and has been running a fever of over 105 degrees F (according to the thermal ear thermometer)  since Monday afternoon.  I have not slept more than about 4 hours in the last two nights, and have had to spend pretty every day since Monday, with him on my lap.  Needless to say, that has not exactly been conducive to getting anything done!   He’s on antibiotics and as of this morning he didn’t have a fever any more, but he’s still very clingy and cranky and not wanting to sleep.  With all of these things happening so soon after coming back from the Stampin’ Up! cruise, I was really struggling to come up with stamp club projects this month. So as I mentioned, Sue’s card ended up being my third stamper’s club project this month!

All that to say, if you’ve emailed me in the last 5 days and haven’t heard back from me – that is why.  I have only been able to respond to the absolute urgent emails. Also, it’s set me back in my release date for the Pun Fun Class.  I had been aiming for Friday, but it may be more like Monday, unless things get better in a hurry.
