I’m in a creative slump right now – whenever I touch stamps to paper nothing seems to turn out right! Since I haven’t been able to stamp anything new since my last post, I thought I’d share with you a card that I cased almost a year ago. One of the reasons I picked this card is because it is one of my all-time favourite cards. I just LOVE the colors – they are so soft and pretty – it’s very much a “feel-happy” type of card. It uses a set called Bud Basics which appeared for the first time in last years summer mini catalogue (Stampin’ Up!) along with this gorgeous designer paper that was called Petal Patch paper. I was very excited when I saw that Bud Basics made it into the Fall/Winter Collection along with a different version of Petal Patch – same pattern, but different colors – now called Fall Flowers. I’m looking forward to being able to use this set again, as I’ve had it packed away since the mini ended last July. The outline of the flowers and leaves were stamped in Chocolate chip, then the center portion of one was stamped in Blush Blossom and the other in Bashful Blue. The inner portion of the leaves was stamped in Certainly Celery. These were all stamped on a scrap of white cardstock which I covered with VersaMark ink and sprinkled with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heat embossed, then cut out and mounted. The copper brads are from the old Vintage brads collection, the ribbon is chocolate grosgrain and light blue gingham.
