Card box

I received such positive feedback on the card that I did with this color combination that I decided to create a little card box for 3″x 3″ cards using the same colors.  I based these layouts on one my upline did – I just changed the colors and designer paper used, and created a lid for the box. We’re going to be doing this as the Make and Take for our downline meeting on Monday. card box with cards inside

This is what the box looks like with the cards and envelopes inside.  As you can see, it’s a perfect fit.  We made 3 cards for the inside, but you could actually probably fit four or five.  Once again I pulled out that diagonally striped paper from the Dots and Dashes collection – I must say, with this color combination I’m *actually* starting to like it! The cardstock is: Old Olive, Apricot Appeal and Pumpkin Pie.  The flowers are from the Bodacious Bouquet stamp set, and they are stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal ink on whisper white cardstock.  As you can see, I left a small white border around the flowers when I cut them out.  For the box front, the button in the center of the flower comes from the Earth Elements collection.  The “thanks” stamp comes from Everyday Flexible Phrases.  It was stamped in Basic Black onto Apricot Appeal carstock and then punched out using the Round Tab Punch. This punch is so cool – I really hope it ends up the new catalogue!  For the cards I added my ususal bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter in the center of the flowers with Crystal Effects, and added white “faux” stitching with the Signo White Gel pen.  For a full list of supplies, please click on the top picture.
