I want to apologize to you all for my blogging "absence" this week, however it has been a really crazy busy week trying to catch up after cruise. I had a team meeting on Monday night, a new demonstrator training on Wednesday night, and all sorts of other errands, laundry and appointments the rest of the week, so here it is Friday and I’m FINALLY posting. Things are starting to settle down now so I’ll be resuming my usual blogging schedule of posting every 1-2 days. I’ll also be re-starting my Featured Stampin’ Up! Artist of the week not this upcoming Monday, but the Monday after that.
This little carousel note treat holder is based on one I received from one of my downline – Pat Duggan – at our team meeting on Mon. night. The general idea, comes from a card we learned how to do at leadership. I’m not sure if the idea of adapting a carousel note was original to Pat or she got it from somewhere else. If I find out, I’ll let you kow. The only thing I changed was the belly band, the main image and the chocolate wrapper. I thought it was such a neat way of using the Carousel Notes that I just had to share a mini tutorial with you all.
Step 1: Take your carousel not and score in on three sides about 1 1/2". Crease along the score lines using the bone folder, then snip the bottom corners as shown.
Step 2: Fold in the sides then the bottom of the carousel note to make a "pouch". Take a piece of Afternoon Tea DP that is 1" x 7" and shape it by hand around the pouch.
Step 3: Adhere the ends of the Belly Band together (one overlaps over the other).
Step 4: Decorate as desired.
I used the new stamp set we received on the cruise (I can’t for the life of me remember the name and I don’t have it in front of me right now). I colored in the branch and owl with a blender pen, using Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie & Wild Wasabi classic inks. The owl was mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
