I stumbled across a great blog that has all sorts of card and scrapbook layout sketches – the author of the blog is Di Hickman, and you can see the sketch that this card is based on HERE. I stamped the smaller of the doodles from the Doodle This stamp set all over the Bashful Blue card in Bashful Blue ink, then paper pieced along the lines and colored in the dots using a Signo White Gel pen. The designer paper is from the Spring Showers collection which I’ve had since Stampin’ Up! first released it, but which I haven’t used in well over a year (I’m really hoping they don’t retire it)! The strip of cardstock is So Saffron & the greeting is from the It’s Your Birthday stamp set. I created the flower by stamping the large flower from Doodle This onto the yellow polka dot pattern from Spring Showers. I stamped 2 flowers, cut them out then mod podged them to make it easier to shape them. I punched through the centers using a 1/16″ circle punch and added a brad from the Soft Subtles collection.
