I’d like to welcome this week’s Featured Stampin’ Up! Artist…..Erika Martin. Erika emailed me so many beautiful samples of her artwork that I had a really hard time narrowing it down to just 2! Don’t you just love the little purse above, and the cool card below?
Erika says "I’ve been a demonstrator for close to 7 years (in June) and signed on an impulse after seeing the catalog. I had never been to a workshop, but fell in love at first sight of the catalog. It’s been a wild and fantastic ride ever since.
I live in Ferrisburg, VT, about 65 miles south of the Canadian border. I’m married to David and we’ll be celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary in June of this year. We have two children, Zach (9 years old) and Elise (8 years old and never gets called Elise at home, but Girly instead).
I started out as a scrapbooker in 1996, but found stamping to mesh really well with scrapbooking. It’s the "perfect marriage" of two art forms. I enjoy teaching the art of scrapbooking as a personal and therapeutic journey. While my scrapbooks are always an ongoing project, I adore that stamping can give me some instant gratification when it comes to creating"
