I am so pleased to be able to introduce to you this weeks Featured Stampin’ Up! Artist of the week…Carolyn Ritter. Don’t you just love the fresh, clean style of the card above? I sure do!
Carolyn says: "I heard about Stampin’ Up! 8 years ago from a Yahoo group that I was a member of. I had never heard of the company but was immediately interested — I had always wanted to learn to stamp. I contacted a local demonstrator and hosted a workshop. I was immediately hooked. I wanted to become a demo right away, but it took about a year to convince my husband. I joined Stampin’ Up! 7 years ago and have not looked back.
I’ve been mainly a hobby demo, but am working on building a business. I offer my customers various kinds of classes — technique, scrapbooking, stamp-a-stacks, product based classes — as well as hold in-home workshops. I’ve also done special events like ladies retreats and all day stamping events. I‘m very thankful for all the wonderful demonstrators out there that are willing to share ideas as well as constructive criticism. I have learned a lot from everyone and have been inspired to stamp even more.
I live in the Big Apple, Brooklyn to be exact. We’ve lived in Brooklyn for nearly 8 years but in NYC for 17. I’m a SAHM homeschooling mom of two, and have been married to my wonderful husband for 19.5 years. We are in an exciting stage of our life — we are pursuing an international adoption of a sibling group of two. When that happens our lives will be changed drastically, but we are excited about what the future holds."
In addition to the gorgeous card above, I just had to show you the one below which she made using one of my favorite stamp sets: Fabulous Flowers. If you live in the NY area, Carolyn would be more than happy to help you with all your stamping needs and send you information about the classes that she offer. You can check out her blog at www.stamphappymomma.com, or contact her at either of these email addresses: [email protected], or [email protected].
