I haven’t had all that much time to do personal stamping over the last few days as I’ve been mass producing cards for an order I received from a local gift shop interested in selling my cards. Today, I finally took a little time to make a card just for me using a stamp set that was (and still is) one of my favorites over the summer – Doodle This. I used a card layout that’s similar to a swap card I received from one of my downline – Lara Hall – I just switched the colors and changed some of the elements.
The color combination is one that I first saw in a card designed by Kristina Werner – Purely Pomegranate and Pale Plum. Never in my wildest dreams would I have though to combine those colors – but I absolutely love them! The white cardstock was embossed using the cuttlebug swirl folder (I actually use the Wizard with the cuttlebug embossing folders). For the flowers, I stamped the flower from doodle that in black stazon onto the purely pomegranate and cut it out. I did the same with the top flower on the pale plum, however, I colored in the petals using a blender pen and Purely Pomegranate ink. The greeting comes from the All Holidays set. The ribbon is the Pomegranate double stitched ribbon. All supplies are Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise mentioned.
