Happy Tuesday! Today I wanted to create a card using this totally cute set called Kimono Kids. The set has two really cute girls, along with some accessories, lanterns, and a neat greeting. I wanted to create something that was layered and sponged with a vintagy feel, along with a nice scene to set off the Kimono Girl. I did with this use a Spellbinder die Oval, but you could use the Coluzzle oval cutter if you have it left over, or you could use a circle instead of an oval. In order to create the scene, I masked off the top sky area with paper, and sponged the hills. For the darker hill, I used a straight piece of paper, but for the lighter hill, I cut out a hill form, lay it higher then the straight hill, and then sponged below the mask. The colors for the hills were Old Olive, and Kiwi Kiss. The sky was sponged using my cloud template, and Soft Sky Classic ink. I hope you enjoy today’s card!
