With my kids being off this past Monday (an extra day on top of their Spring Break) I kinda lost track of time.  It’s like when you have a statutory holiday on the Monday.  When you’re back to work on Tuesday it feels like Monday, Wednesday feels like Tuesday etc.  Of course I did work Monday, but somehow I seem to have lost track of that day.  Which is why you’re seeing my post today instead of having seen it yesterday.  Although I wish I could post more often, at the moment – until we finish all the work on moving Paper Crafter’s Library to it’s new location – about all I can manage here is once a week.

Given that this blog is still the same – you’ve probably guessed that I didn’t end up changing things this past week LOL.  I decided that I really needed to try and focus on one thing at a time – which right now is finishing the Paper Crafter’s Library move.  Thank heavens we are almost done.  It took waaay longer than we expected – which given that we have well over 1500 videos on there I shouldn’t be surprised.  Needless to say though, I’m bored to death of the move which is why I think I was itching to do something new – hence changing this site around.  My husband always says it’s dangerous when I ‘m bored because I undertake all sorts of different things LOL. So this time, I decided to show some patience….one thing at a time…….

For today’s card I decided I needed a bright spring palette.  It was officially spring yesterday, but for us it snowed.  I’ve totally had enough of winter, but since I can’t change that, I decided to reflect my desire for spring in my paper crafting.  The card itself is pretty straightforward – layering patterned paper onto cardstock, using my sentiment as a focal point, and adding a couple of embellishments.  Here are the supplies I used:

  • Stamps: Oh, Hello
  • Ink: Jet Black StazOn
  • Paper: Daffodil Delight CS, Basic Black CS, Floral District DP
  • Accessories: Daffodil Delight 1/4″ stitched grosgrain ribbon, Adornments In Color Dahlia Assortment, Jewels Basic Rhinestone, Stampin’ Dimensionals, double-sided adhesive, Big Shot, Framelits Labels Collection.
