Hi everyone, I just wanted to post a quick update about why there has been such a long silence on my blog. As you know for the last couple of weeks we’ve been stripping wallpaper, painting, packing, de-cluttering, etc, in order to get our house ready to list on the real estate market. Well as of last Thursday night the "for sale" sign went into the ground and as of Sunday, it was officially listed on MLS (the Canadian Real Estate Marketing Board website).
Needless to say, since then, it’s been an endless round of showings. While that is a GOOD thing, it’s also made it impossible to stamp. Our house is a raised bungalow, so when you walk into the front of the house, you’re actually walking into the "basement" – to get to the upper level, you walk up a flight of stairs, and from there you can walk right into the back yard. Right away as you walk in, to the right is the family room. I took this room over as my stamp room about 3 years ago, and it’s been a great set up because there is also a bathroom on this level, and it has allowed me to keep my business totally separate from my family. The problem is, that our real estate agent and home stager both said that in terms of "sale-ability" we needed to make this look like a family room again. I had to move all my stamping stuff to the storage room and fold up my tables and chairs and store them in the garage. So now, every time I want to stamp I have to haul out my table, chairs and stamping supplies. Because we’ve had showings morning, afternoon and evening, I haven’t been able to set up my stuff to stamp. I’m slowly sinking into stamping withdrawal, so I’m really hoping to be able to stamp soon. I will be posting on Friday my Featured Stampin’ Up! Artist Marika Lemay, and after that attempting to resume my normal blogging schedule, but I probably won’t be posting before Friday as we have more scheduled showings. Thanks so much for your patience!
