When I was at the Stampin’ Girls Convention in Ottawa this past weekend, I received an awesome swap card from Jen Bailey – the guest speaker. Her card is what I based mine on. The colors and layout are the same as hers, however I tweaked a few different elements and added a few different things. The card base is Certainly Celery, and is stamped with the Aida Cloth background stamp in Certainly Celery ink. The patterned paper comes from the Palette ‘O Prints. I cut it in 2″ x 2″ squares and overlapped the squares. The white cardstock was punched with the Spiral punch, and the “block” stamp from the Sweet Shapes stamp set was stamped in Almost Amethyst. The butterflies were stamped in Apricot Appeal and Rose Red and the outline stamped in black. They were then cut out with the paper snips (these are sooo awesome – definately a “must have”). I mounted the Rose Red butterfly on a single Stampin’ Dimensional and the Apricot butterfly on a double stampin’ dimensional to give it added height. The greeting is from the same stamp set. As a final touch I added a paper clip and tied on the 2 different widths of stitched ribbon from the Sweet Shop Ribbon Originals collection. The entire white piece was mounted to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals as well. Please click on the picture for a list of supplies used. Thanks for looking!
