Big News Stampin' Up! Baby Card

I’m in the process of planning my team meeting for this upcoming Monday, and was trying to come up with a Make and Take that showcased some of Stampin’ Up!’s new products.  In particular, I wanted them to have the opportunity to try Stampin’ Up!’s new rub-ons.  If you’ve never used a rub-on before, silly as this may sound, it can be kind of intimidating.  When the new catalog first came out, I didn’t order any because frankly I didn’t know how to use them.  It wasn’t until I was at Leadership with my upline, and she showed me how to use them during the Make and Take session that I became comfortable with them. Now I can’t believe I waited this long!

The base of this card is So Saffron CS – the dimensions are 3 1/4″ x 6 1/2″ (perfectly sized to fit inside our small open-end envelopes.  I added a strip of designer paper (DP) from the East Coast Prep collection (2″ x 6 1/2″) along the bottom. Through the center of the card, along the top edge of the DP, I added some of our Wild Wasabi Double-Stitched ribbon. I covered a chipboard star which I believe you can get in the On Board Simon Upper Chipboard collection (please correct me if I’m wrong in the comments section, because as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I was able to order this as part of a special bundle at Leadership). I first glued it to a piece of Wild Wasabi CS with the new Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive (which I LOVE), then trimmed it out. On top of it, I placed a star rub-on which you can get in the Anchored rub-on collection. I attached it to the card using the Tombow, then added a button from the Fresh Favorites I collection (attached with a mini glue dot) and punched a star out of More Mustard CS using the star punch. Oh yes, and the greeting comes from the stamp set Absolutely Fabulous. All supplies are Stampin’ Up!
