Thanks A Million Bird Stampin Up Card by Andrea Walford

I can’t believe it’s Friday already! At the beginning of our trip it felt as though we had all the time in the world. Now it feels like our trip is racing to a close. On Sunday we head home and by Monday I’ll be blogging from home.

We just finished breakfast at the Kona Kafe here at the Polynesian resort and we’re back in our room getting ready to head out to Typhoon Lagoon for a few hours of water park fun. Before we leave though I thought I’d pop in make sure I had today’s post for you.

Today’s card features a paper-piecing technique and also shows you now easy it is to stretch your stamps by using only certain elements of a stamped image.

For this card I used the For the Birds stamp set – the image that has the three birds standing one on top of the other. I stamped the image once onto Stampin’ Up!’s Calypso Coral patterned paper and once onto Pool Party patterned paper. I then cut them out and popped them up onto my greeting label with Stampin’ Dimensionals to look look like they are standing on the greeting (which is from Stampin’ Up!’s Wors Play stamp set). I hand drew the birds’ legs using my black Stampin’ Write marked.

To add a little dimension to the card I popped my greeting/image on top of a second die cut label which I first embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing folder.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.

All the products I used on this card are Stampin’ Up! And can be purchased through your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. If you don’t have one, you can use the “Find a Demonstrator” feature at – just make sure you select the appropriate country first.

If you have any questions please leave them in the comments section of this post and I’ll answer them in an upcoming post. My next post will be on Monday.
