Okay, on to the card. With the size of the elephant image in the Happy Heart Day stamp set, a regular 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card just seemed too small – so this card, is a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" square card. The base is Certainly Celery, the designer paper is the Rose Red Prints Designer Series Papers which was matted onto Basic Black CS. A black brad from the Vintage Brads collection was added to each corner. The ovals were cut out using my Spellbinder’s Nestabilities dies and my Wizard die cutting machine. The cardstock slid a little when I was cutting, so my elephant is a little off kilter. Let’s pretend he’s rearing up on his hind legs – LOL! The elephant was stamped in black Staz on, then cut out. I colored the body of the elephant using two different shades of gray from the neutral watercolor crayons. The other colors used are Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, and Certainly Celery. All were applied using the the blender pen. I lightly sponged the Pretty in Pink oval with Rose Red ink. The strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock with the small black CS border was stamped with the smaller flourish from the Priceless stamp set, in Pretty in Pink ink. The celery ribbon is from the Fairly Tale Ribbon Originals collection. The flower was stamped from the Time Well Spent stamp set which Stampin’ Up! sent to all demonstrators as a Christmas gift. If you click on the link you’ll notice there is no price – that’s because it’s one of Stampin’ Up!’s Level 3 hostess sets. I then cut it out, added a large Rhinestone brad to the center and mounted it onto a dimensional. Oh yes, I can’t forget the glitter! I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the hears and the flower petals using my 2-way glue pen. All products unless otherwise mentioned are Stampin’ Up!.
