Since it’s been awhile since I have created and posted a video for you, (you can read about why HERE if you missed that post) I decided to do exactly that for today’s post.
The card I created today uses only Stampin’ Up! Products & the main stamp set and punch I used are from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
I incorporated a variety of different techniques. First off, to create the acorns – I stamped the top and bottom images one at a time, and punched them out. In the video I share a quick tip for minimizing cardstock wastage.
Once the images were stamped and punched I then added some gloss to them, by heat embossing them with clear embossing powder.
For my main panel – in order to add some texture to the card I dry embossed it with the Woodgrain embossing folder. Prior to doing this though, I stamped my sentiment on the cardstock – this is a great way to get a stamped sentiment on a dry embossed panel because you can’t stamp after you emboss.
Adding a white embossed panel to a white card is probably one of my favorite ways of creating texture and dimension in my cards while still keeping them clean and simple.
So now that I’ve given you a quick overview of what I did – here is the video tutorial:
