I don’t know about you all, but I am so ready for Spring! Guess what we got instead yesterday? More snow! That is why I am so excited that in only 3 more days, I’m leaving for the Stampin’ Up! cruise to Bermuda! This is our first "real" family trip. We’ll be taking the 3 older kids (my daughter – age 5, & my sons aged 7 and 9) with us, and leaving our toddler with my parents. The kids are just giddy with excitement. We’ve been doing all sorts of shopping for the trip and everyday now, they ask "how many more days ’till cruise?" I am bringing my camera and my computer, so although I won’t be doing stamping of my own, I’ll still have plenty of things to share with you guys, so be sure to keep visiting!
Anyways, today’s card was inspired by Sharon Johnson from No Time to Stamp. You can see her card HERE. I just loved the colors as they remind me so much of Sprint, that I decided to create my own card using them. This card uses Almost Amethyst & Whisper White CS, Almost Amethyst and So Saffron DP. I stamped the single stem flower from the Embrace Life stamp set, tand colored it in using a blender pen and Barely Banana and Apricot Appeal re-inkers. Although I’m not really sure WHAT that flower is supposed to be, I thought it kind of looked like a tulip, and reminded me a little bit of a daffodil – both spring flowers. I added a teensy little bit of glitter to the top of the flower with my 2-way glue pen. The greeting was stamped from the All Holidays stamp set ("for you"), and punched out using the small oval punch. The ribbon comes from one of Stampin’ Up!’s ribbon originals collections – I can’t remember which one at the moment but once I get home again, (I’m on my way out to take my daughter to swimming lessons) I’ll look it up and post it below.
