It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a Stampin’ Up! card with you – so I thought I’d create something just for you guys using all SU products using some of my favourite new products in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue.  It’s a clean and graphic card which uses a masking technique to make it look like I’ve layered a few film strips. I started by stamping the Filmstrip stamp in Melon Mambo Classic ink and then creating a mask for it.  I covered the stamped film strip using my mask and then stamped my film strip again in Pumpkin Pie and then Lucky Limeade – each on a different angle relative to the first strip.  I then stamped the word “happy” from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set inside each frame of the Pumpkin Pie film strip and Lucky Limeade film strip using the corresponding color of ink.  I once again used masking to stamp the words “Yippee -”  and “Skippee!” each inside their own frame in black ink (from the Yippee-Skippee! stamp set).  I finished off the card with a few coordinating buttons from the Designer Buttons Brights collection. All in all a simple card – with a lot of white space (which I love) that was relatively quick to make.

More Chaos at the Walford House

So on another note – remember a few years back when our washing machine pump broke and our house got flooded (the laundry room is on the 2nd level)?  Well, we had another fiasco this past week – this time with a sink that was accidentally left running and overflowed.  And of course Papa’s room being underneath the laundry room – he got hit again.  Pretty much what happened last time is what’s happening again. We’ve had the Property Damage Specialists in, we’ve gotten a quote, and now we’re waiting for the go-ahead from insurance to start the process – which will likely be in the next couple of days.  So please pray for us that everything goes smoothly.

In the meantime, I’m trying to de-stress by spending some time in my studio creating just for the fun of it.  Which is what today’s card was – not something for a class, not something for Paper Crafter’s Library, something just for the fun of it!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card!
