I decided to try out the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge this week as it was a fairly simple sketch – which as you know, is right up my alley! My new “in colors” finally arrived so I pulled out Soft Sky and paired it with the polka dots designer paper from the Petals and Paisleys collection. I was amazed at how well they went together – it’s almost as though they were made for each other! I colored in the little zebra from Zoofari using a blender pen & Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise and Pretty in Pink classic inks. I used a small grass stamp from a retired outdoors stamp set called Roughing It and sponged certainly celery in between the tufts of grass. The butterfly is from the Simple Sayings stamp set from the 2007 Winter Mini Catalogue. The main image was matted on Tempting Turquoise cardstock. The greeting is from the “Holidays and Wishes” stamp set, and was stamped in Tempting Turqoise ink. The ribbon is from the Flirty collection which I also bought from the Winter Mini, and is now, unfortunately, retired. I punched the flower out using the Spring Flower Bouquet punch, and added a rhinestone brad from the “Ice” collection. I absolutely LOVE these brads – they are a perect way to add a little “bling”. All supplies are Stampin’ Up!
